This text is in regards to the rescue of two limestone blocks for the antiquities authority found at Amenemhet I’s pyramid in 2011. The blocks had been found by looters one in all whom known as the correct authority hoping for a reward.  The outcome was an affair of some crafty together with the ability of transporting two large blocks of huge weight and avoiding looters.

The primary pretty block above is a part of the ornament for Amenemhet’s funerary monument whereas the second seems to be an older block reused within the monument. The pyramid has produced many Previous Kingdom carved reliefs from funerary monuments of Khufu, Khafra, Unas, amongst others and used as fill throughout the building. These blocks could have been used for magical associations between Amenemhet and his predecessors and or counsel that the monuments of the Previous Kingdom have been in break by that point. Amenemhet I based the twelfth dynasty ca. 1991 – 1962 B.C., and seems to have been assassinated based on a papyrus often called the Directions of Amenemhet the place the king’s ghost speaks to his son and inheritor Senwosret I.
